Mother’s Day will be here in less than two weeks, can you believe it?! For me, Mother’s Day has always been the unofficial first day of Spring. When I lived in Illinois, the weather never actually started to feel or look like Spring until May, at the earliest. (Just last week my dad FaceTimed me with a view of the snow falling outside and asked if I missed it…. I gave him a definitive “nope” haha). I definitely prefer Florida’s version of Spring. 😉 Anyways, I’ve put together a few Mother’s Day gift ideas that I hope you enjoy! Of course, these options don’t just have to be for your mom, they can be for your mother-in-law, grandma, aunt, friend, ect.
Before jumping into the gift section, we have to think Mother’s Day cards! Here’s a tip, T.J. Maxx has some of the most beautiful Mother’s Day cards and they’re affordable too. Some of the options look like they could be from Hallmark or Paper Source. They have tons of other cute cards for birthdays, anniversaries, get well, sympathy, engagement, wedding, and baby shower cards too!
One gift idea that I know my mom loves are the Willow Tree figurines. These really are so sweet and very thoughtful. Each figurine has a moving sentiment and they make a great gift. One of my personal favorites is the “Close to Me” figurine. I gifted this piece to my mom on my wedding day and it represents always being together no matter how close or far apart we are. It was fitting as I left her “nest” and started my own. It’s also special for those of us who live a ways away from our mom/family. There are many different types of figurines and they are definitely worth looking into. 🙂
For the mom who enjoys cooking, how about a cutting board? Not just any cutting board though, it’s one with the cutest recipe engraved for a special mom! The Amazon seller does note that this bamboo cutting board (pictured on the top left) is more for display and decor than for actual use. I’ve seen so many pictures on Pinterest and HGTV shows that use wood cutting boards as decor (pictured on the top right) and I think it’s so unique! But you can also get a functional one like this from Amazon (pictured bottom left), or like this one from Etsy (pictured bottom middle), or even like this one, also from Etsy (pictured bottom right). 🙂
How about some relaxation for a gift? This beautiful spa gift box from Etsy would be a really thoughtful and practical gift. This set comes with an assortment of natural goodies. It includes a bath bomb, a full-size soap bar, face towel, lavender body oil, facial clay mask, lip balm, and soy candle. The personalization options makes this gift box that much more special. 🙂 I also thought this cute little Rose Orchard Florals Slippers and Foot Care Set from Kirkland’s would be a nice add-on gift. 🙂
I think this makeup case is so cute and perfect for travel! It’s a Louis Vuitton dupe and it’s definitely more affordable. 🙂 Here’s the Amazon link. This bag has such great reviews and comes in both brown and black as well.
So many girls have recently splurged on the Chanel Pink Canvas tote (pictured on the left). It’s so darling but not very practical in terms of pricing. The Monogram Gabby Tweed Handbag (pictured on the right) from I Love Jewelry is a really great look for less option! It does come in other color options as well. Here’s a promo code for this monogram bag from YouTuber Lace & Lashes (code CARIN15 for 15% off your purchase).
Last, but certainly not least, flowers are always a beautiful way to make mom feel special, especially a fresh cut of blooms. The Bouqs Co. offers gorgeous bouquets ranging in price. These flowers are ethically sourced and they come from local farms and farms in South America. They have some of the most beautifully arranged bouquets around and they deliver. 🙂
Whatever you gift the special woman/women in your life, whether big or small, it’s truly the thought that counts. What she will love most is your time. I’m so thankful for my mom and the older I get, the more I cherish the few times we get to see each other throughout the year. I always look forward to our phone calls throughout the week and catching up. I can’t help but think of Proverbs 31:28, “Her children rise up and call her blessed.” My brother and I are beyond blessed to have a mom like we have and couldn’t be more thankful for her. Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and to all the mom’s out there! I hope you feel extra special and extra loved this Mother’s Day. 🙂
P.s. I know that Mother’s Day can be a hard day for those women who do not yet have a child but long for one, for those unable to conceive or dealing with infertility, and for those who have lost a child. I cannot imagine how any of these circumstances feel and I’m so sorry for your pain. Know that you are thought of this Mother’s Day, you are not alone, and you are loved.
